History:

The University for Development Studies (UDS) was established in 1992 in Tamale, Ghana. It was formed through the merger of three existing colleges of education, namely the Sarle Bu, Nyankpala, and the agricultural and mechanization training institutes in Nyankpala.

UDS operates on a multi-campus system. Currently, it has campuses located in Tamale (the main campus), Wa, Navrongo, and Nyankpala.

Current Progress:
